The Players 1st XI Player of the Year award was won by Harry Briggs following a fine season with the bat and for his motivation of the team throughout the summer. Harry also won the 1st XI Batsman of the Year award having scored 367 runs in all games at an average of 22.94.

The Players Glenpark XI Player of the Year award was won by Eddie Ahmad. The Glenpark XI finished the season in fine style by soundly beating the top two teams in their league, the WDCU Fourth Division, giving great encouragement to the team and the Club for season 2023. Eddie was also the top Glenpark XI bowler with 19 wickets in league games.

Gregor Chambers received the 1st XI Bowler of the Year award for a very successful season in which he took 36 wickets in all competitions. His best performance was saved for the final league match of the season in which he took a career best analysis of 8 wickets for just 22 runs against Hillhead.

Glenpark XI captain Peter Janampally won the Glenpark XI Batsman of the Year Award for his 358 runs scored during the season. Peter took over as captain part way through the season after Jack Hutchinson had to stand down due to work commitments and after a difficult time on occasions was able to lead his team to finish the season in fine style, as stated previously.

The All rounder of the Year award went to Ryan Walker who scored 748 runs and took 47 wickets during the league season and 1140 runs and 64 wickets in all games while Tom Nicholson received the Highest Individual Score award for his innings of 156 not out against Poloc.

Appreciation Awards were presented to Greg McDougall, Chris Hempsey and Shailesh Prabhu in recognition of appearing in over 200 games for the 1st XI.

The Supporting Role Award was given to Lukas Fischer-Keogh for stepping into a number of roles to help out the 1st XI, ending up with becoming the opening partner for Tom Nicholson. 304 runs in all games together with 13 catches and 6 stumpings underlined his importance to the team.

Most Improved Player awards went to Aryan Sanghera for his performances in the 1st XI while Emily Norris was rewarded for her performances for the Glenpark XI.

Ronnie McGregor received a well deserved and quite appropriate award for his work as 1st XI scorer during the season. This year was the first time that scoring was done electronically and provided Ronnie with some new challenges.

Emma Norris was recognised for her hard work in providing the teas during the season while Lynn Cole (right) was congratulated for her work as Bar Manager.

Most Ducks of the Year awards in league matches were presented by Mark Farrell to Jamie Nowell (1st XI) and Peter Janampally (Glenpark XI). Strange that Peter should win this award to go with his award for the Glenpark XI Batsman of the Year!

PJ Bryceland was given an award for being duped by the two Aussies into turning up as a superhero at a golf theme party.

On a more serious note, the final award of the evening was given to the Club Player of the Year. This was rightly awarded to the evergreen Peter Robertson who is still playing after more than 50 years of being associated with the Club.
