Mini Gig on the Green - Sunday 25th May

The much anticipated Mini Gig on the Green takes place at Glenpark on Sunday afternoon 25 May.

The organisers have lined up three great bands to provide the musical entertainment which begins just after 3pm on Sunday. The bands will each play a set lasting one hour.

Kicking off the afternoon at 3.15pm will be Malpractice Rhythm & Blues. They will be followed at 4.30pm by indie rock band The Social. And then Vinyl, another local indie rock band, completes the afternoon with songs from Oasis, Kasabian, Primal Scream, The Black keys plus classics from the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and many more.

As well as the music, there will be bars plus numerous other offerings at the ground during the afternoon which makes the Mini Gig the ideal event for families to go along to and enjoy in a safe environment.

The Club have organised inputs from Greenock Morton FC and Morton in the Community, Greenock Wanderers Rugby Club and Cricket Scotland.

Greenock Morton FC and Morton in the Community are running a junior football clinic packed with fun and games, Greenock Wanderers are bringing their energy to a kids rugby clinic and Cricket Scotland will be supporting Greenock Cricket Club's own cricket clinic which will be run by the Club's two Australian amateurs, with international stars expected to attend.

The clinics are all free and open to both boys and girls. It's all about fun, being active and trying something new !!

And of course there will be bars, soft drinks, burgers and snacks. Face Painting and a Bouncy Castle are other attractions for the kids.

Tickets will be on sale at the Club bar for just £5 until Saturday 24th May, or £8 (cash only) at the gate on Sunday 25th.
