Two further cup matches follow before the first league match against Dumfries on May 12. After the first 7 league games have been completed, the reverse fixtures in the Scottish Cup are played, followed by the 7 reverse league fixtures, the season culminating in an away game against Clydesdale on September 1.

150th Anniversary celebrations
2012 sees the 150th anniversary of Greenock Cricket Club and, as might be imagined, a number of events are planned to celebrate this achievement. Tickets for this event will be £30 per head and Willie Gorman and his band, old favourites at the Club, will provide the music.
Announcements on merchandising, such as sweaters and polo shirts, to commemorate this anniversary will also be made in the near future.
Remember to keep checking this website to keep up-to-date with all the events that will celebrate this momentous achievement.

1st XI and Glenpark XI Averages now available
The 1st XI averages for the recently-finished 2011 season are now available and can be found at this link. Nobody should be too surprised, given the season's performances, that they do not make for good reading.
The Glenpark XI averages have been prepared by team correspondent, Dave 'Snake' Sharma, and these can be found at this link. Needless to say, our correspondent's name features strongly, although not strongly enough for his liking as, much to his chagrin, he was pipped to the bowling honours by Waleed Jamal.
Junior Awards Evening
The Junior section of the Club held its annual awards evening recently. President Peter Hempsey presented the awards and commended all the players, coaches and parents for their efforts in what was a most difficult season, weatherwise.
